Dartry Road

The project comprises renovations and extensions to three protected structures on Dartry Road. The existing houses were restored to their original use as single dwellings. With different clients for each dwelling, a considered approach was developed to provide individual design responses to each house without adversely affecting the character of the historic ensemble.

The Old Presbytery

Renovations and alterations to a former presbytery in Glasthule, Co. Dublin. The existing building is a protected structure, and the design sought to improve the current use of the house to modern living standards with generous internal spaces. At the same time, minimal interventions were carried out in materials sympathetic to the historic structure.

Tireighter cairn

A concept model for a new-build house project in Co. Derry. The form of the building as three interconnected elements derives from three standing stones sited at the entrance to a nearby neolithic wedge tomb, as well as referencing the vernacular Clachan settlement typology, one of which is located near the site. The hipped roofs reflect the use of natural light centrally in a local Palladian-style villa at Tanmagh Lodge.
